An Elevate node requires resources in order to run the software properly. Knowing the hardware requirements needed to run an Elevate node is important to make sure it can provide resources to the Elevate community and to ensure the node operator is able to get credit in the Distribution.
Note: Each computer/VPS can only run 1 smart node OR 100 lite nodes.
Computer Requirements:
An Elevate node is currently extremely light in regards to memory space and does not "mine" in the traditional sense. The Elevate node software is supported by Mac and Linux (64-bit required). These are the current resources required for running an Elevate node:
4 GB RAM
2 CPU Cores
60 GB Hard Drive
Note: These requirements are subject to change. There may be additional requirements in terms of computational capacity and speed placed on nodes in the future. Lighter nodes will likely still function, but they will be given rewards in proportion to their contribution to the network. More information will be released on this when it is available.
How To Run Your Node:
Once the Elevate node software has been downloaded, you can log in to your Elevate account and the nodes you have purchased will be displayed in your dashboard. Each time a node you license and operate completes certain actions, you earn digital rewards on the Elevate blockchain.
Elevate nodes shouldn’t affect standard computer use. However, if you are doing graphic intensive processing, you may wish to pause the node during its use. You may always turn the node on and off as you please. To maximize rewards, it is recommended to run as often as possible.
Only one smart node can operate per instance of a computer or 100 lite nodes per instance of a computer. If you have purchased more than one smart node, but do not own multiple computers, you can run your smart nodes on a Virtual Private Server (VPS).
